However, when I made that post 3-to-4 weeks ago, I was actually expecting answers from Werewolf: the Forsaken players from Louisiana, so I could get something in the way of geographical, topographical, demographical and sociological data I'm from Louisiana, but, mind you, I've only ever set foot in New Orleans once, when I was eight-years old, so I honestly don't know anything about what it's like over in the "Big Easy." Thank you for (so far, at any rate) being the only one to take my question seriously. Dude, reptile spirits are so underutilized everywhere its sadenning. Lets not forget you can use Alligator Spirits. I'd also take a look at specifically local legends, Ghosts, swamp devils, anything that could groom well for a Werewolf campaign or setting. I'd imagine, though, with the aftermath of Katrina, you could very well have a Magath at a nearly idigam power level that is wrecking havock across the Shadow there as well. One particular lodge that would fit would be the Lodge of the Crossroads, which focuses on the 'deal with the devil at the crossroads of life', and the main example of that Lodge is a creole Bone shadow if I remember correctly. Maybe even have a group of Bone Shadows hold most of the power through voodoo-like incantations and cajin magicks. You have the restless dead in the form of Ghosts from graves, probably a lot of verges in the gauntlet where spirits come and posses people during a Mardi gra parade.

True, Rockies has some interesting stuff for that setting, but there's not much saying you can't take some of the Vampire stuff and tweak it to fit a Forsaken Game. In my experience since the nWOD has a lot of freedom, the Forsaken games are a bit more seat of your pants kind of game and setting. Any assistance you guys could give.hyperlinks to anyone else who have established descriptors of Louisiana Territories, particular Lodges, Packs, Enemies that will need slaying. I have a really, REALLY huge question to ask I'm a Werewolf: the Forsaken player from Louisiana, and was wondering: has anybody ever developed guidelines for setting a Werewolf chronicle in and around New Orleans? I know, I know, it mostly belongs to the vampires, but I don't want to be a vampire! I want to be a werewolf!īut the only book that White Wolf ever released for 1E that involved guidelines for describing potential Territory was The Rockies (and I AM NOT CONVERTING TO 2E!!! I DON'T LIKE ALL THE RULE CHANGES AND THE CRAPPY NEW CARD SYSTEM!!!!!! IT TAKES ME ROUGHLY 2-to-4 YEARS TO PUT TOGETHER ENOUGH MONEY TO PURCHASE JUST FIVE BOOKS!!!!!! HELL, I'M WRITING ALL THIS FROM THE COMPUTER AT THE FRIGGIN' LIBRARY!!!!! IT'S TO EXPENSIVE TO BEGIN AGAIN FROM SCRATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) I've been busy with things on my end for con visits and the like, but in the wake of recent additions from White Wolf/Onyx Path, we should be recognizing a few new additions to the World of Darkness!įor the Old WoD, ther have been the 20th Anniversary celebrations of Vampire, Werewolf, Changing Breeds, and Book of the Wyrm Kickstarters, which were flat out successes (and I backed the Werewolf and Changing Breeds myself 3 ).įor the New, we've gotten new Superanturals in the form of Mummy, Demon, and currently Beast: The Primordial is undergoing it's Kickstarter this month! If you haven't gotten a chance to swing by, check it out, and get a better lowdown of the game: It is one of the few New WoD games with cross-over compatibility in mind, so I highly recommend you give it a checkout!īecause of these new additions I'll be updating folders for the group, so that we can add the new arrivals to the growing family of creatures that live in the dark.
